The transformation of this simple post war home took place over two episodes of renovation. Most of the original house is still there, within a thoroughly modern and unique structure. The preservation of materials used in the original building dating to 1956 are important to limit the environmental impact of the house. The design captures prevailing sea breezes in summer and shelters from the cold winter winds. This ensure a comfortable environment most of the year without the need for air conditioning. The house opens to the outdoors at every level.
